IMO as far as fried chicken goes Hot star definitely does it better than all other fried chicken joints. I even prefer it over Korean fried chicken (and I love Korean fried chicken). Hot star chicken is always very juicy and very flavourful. The crumb is always crunchy even after driving all the way home with it. Overall very tasty and very moreish (if I ordered a chicken schnitzel at a pub which was as good I would be over the moon). We always get the extra spicy as the flavour is just perfect for us. (previously gave Hot star 4, however due to ongoing great consistency I have decided to update my score to 5).

Probably the largest chicken piece to hold in your hands, it is ADDICTIVE . I recommend getting the CRISPY chicken bites as well as an extra treat or if you don't feel like having a big arse chicken. Probably not for those sensitive to spicy as the chilli powder makes a massive difference. Pair this with milk tea and you have the perfect meal

As the name suggests, this places offers large fried chicken. You can choose your level of spice, which is extremely tasty. They also do some great tasting fried mushrooms. This is.a fun snack to takeaway, and can also make up a meal

I am absolutely stunned by how amazing the food at Hot Star is. Not only is everything made to perfection, the flavours and spice levels add an amazing amount of diversity essential to having a good late-night experience with friends and family! There’s also a diverse amount of options, and meal combos too! Personally, I get the same thing each time, large chicken bites spicy, but somehow, I feel like every time I go, they make it better and better! The wait time might be a bit extensive when it’s busy, but it’s worth the amazing food that this place continuously provides! I will be coming back again and again!
